This presentation will provide an overview of Talk Abroad, an online foreign language conversation platform used in a recent meeting of Professor Ward's Italian 3010 class.
Participants will learn the basic operations of Talk Abroad, hear about successful implementation, and get ideas for creative and effective future applications.

This interactive session will introduce Language Commons resources that facilitate language teaching & learning at UVA. Attendees will become more familiar with LC spaces and instructor resources (including books, games, ibtiKart resources, Roku TVs, programs, and instructional design support), and have time to try out resources of interest to them. We will also discuss LC resources and activities available to UVA students.

The Spanish major declaration workshop for the Spring 2018 term will be held on Wednesday, February 7 at 5:00PM (New Cabell Hall 132). Students who want to declare a major should attend and bring a Declaration of Major form, available in the College Registrar’s Office located in Monroe Hall 101.
In order to declare a major in Spanish, a student must have completed SPAN 3010 (Grammar & Composition I) or the equivalent, with a grade of C or better. A C- is insufficient.
