What is SPAN 160?
SPAN 160 is a non-credit, elementary-level online Spanish course designed for students who placed into SPAN 1060 and typically have 1–2 years of high school Spanish. It consists of six online modules with engaging communication-focused activities.
Who can take it?
- Priority: Transfer students
- Remaining seats: Rising 2nd and 3rd-year students who:
- Tested into SPAN 1060
- Recently completed SPAN 1060
- Scored up to a 3.25 on the AVANT Placement Diagnostic
✅ Students who complete 100% (all aspects) of the course are guaranteed a spot in the next Spanish level for the fall.
