Please join us in congratulating undergraduate students Jenna Benzing, Mary Margaret Chalk, Adelaide Brooks, Heather Snowden, and Zachary Zamof, who have each received special awards this academic year.
Jenna Benzing and Mary Margaret Chalk are this year’s recipients of the Lola Pelliccia Prize. This prize is awarded by the Italian program, thanks to the generous and continuing sponsorship of the Lola Pelliccia family, for outstanding essays written in Italian at the 3000 or 4000 level.
Adelaide Brooks and Heather Snowden have both been awarded the Marie M. Giuliano Award for Italian. This award is given to a fourth-year graduating student or students on the basis of demonstrated academic excellence in Italian language study and a contribution to the growth and nurturing of Italian at the University.
And last, but not least, Zachary Zamof has been awarded the Marie M. Giuliano Award for Spanish. This award is given to a fourth-year graduating student on the basis of demonstrated academic excellence in Spanish language study and a contribution to the growth and nurturing of Spanish at the University.
