Italian Movie Series

On Monday, 13 Feb., at 5 in Gibson 211, we are showing Dante's Inferno, by Sandow Birk and Sean Meredith. It is based on Sandow Birk's graphic novel, which was in turn based on Dante's Inferno, and features the voices of Dermot Mulroney (Mozart in the Jungle), James Cromwell (Babe, LA Confidential), and Scott Adsit (30 Rock), among others. It is an updated version of Inferno, with an American setting. 
 

Graduate Comprenehsive Exams

MA and Ph.D. written exams will take place the week of March 13-17 (M.A.) and March 20-24 (Ph.D.).

M.A. oral exams will take place the week following the M.A. written exams.

Ph.D. oral exams and clases magistrales will be scheduled in the week following the Ph.D. written exams.

The Department of Spanish, Italian & Portuguese welcomes the opportunity to have new Spanish majors join our department.

However, in order to serve our current Spanish majors we will not assign Spanish major advisors during the Fall 2017 Advising period (Monday, March 20 - Friday, March 31).

Note: This only applies to those who want to declare a major in Spanish. For information on the major, please see our page for majors.
