On Friday, Oct. 19, please join us in the second floor of Brooks Hall (Anthropology) for a lecture from the visiting researchers of Glosas croniquenses. As part of the Anthropology/Linguistics Lecture Series, researchers Lydia Fossa, Diana Coronado Fiestas, María Claudia Delgado Guerra, and Katherine Milagros López will take us through a "Journey into the Lexical Past of Ancient Peru."
Please join us on Thursday, October 18, from 12-2 pm in NCH 236 (German Department Conference Room) for a roundtable discussion of "Disciplines, Professions, and the Borders of Research." This is an opportunity for graduate students to share their experiences conducting research in different institutional and national contexts, and to learn from the experiences of researchers who are based in Lima, Peru, and study Andean cultural contact from different disciplinary perspectives, including history, geography, linguistics, and literary studies. Lunch will be served.
Please join us in Clemmons 407 (note room change!) on Tuesday, Oct. 17, for a multidisciplinary roundtable on digital scholarship in the US and Latin America.
Participants include visiting researchers from the Lima-based project Glosas croniquenses and graduate student members of the Praxis and Digital Humanities programs, sponsored by Scholars' Lab.
