This week we had the pleasure of welcoming Prof. Aurélie Vialette (Yale University) to UVA.

Her workshop on archival methodologies and her lecture on the history of Spanish penal colonies in the Philippines opened new conversations on colonial archives and cross-regional approaches to the Iberian world.
