As part of Professor Domenici's week-long visit to UVa, sponsored by the Institute of the Humanities & Global Cultures, we'll discuss "Material Indians: Early Modern Circulation of Ethnographica and the Construction of the Indies as a Global Category."

Synopsis: As a director and his crew shoot a controversial film about Christopher Columbus in Cochabamba, Bolivia, local people rise up against plans to privatize the water supply.

On Saturday, April 8, the UVA Dance Club performed "Latinoamérica," coordinated by Amelia García, as part of her thesis for the Latin American Studies major. Amelia worked with professors Charlotte Rogers (SIP) and Katie Schetlick (Drama).
