Please join us for a week-long artist residency by Sara Curruchich (Kaqchikel), a leading voice in contemporary Indigenous music and activism in Latin America. Her visit is packed with ways to practice your Spanish, from a film screening and conversation in Casa Bolívar to community-led conversations on Indigenous art and activism with leaders from Sin Barreras and the Monacan Indian Nation, all culminating in a free concert held in Spanish and Kaqchikel Maya, on Feb. 22 at 7 pm in the Old Cabell Hall auditorium.
