Disrupting Education: A conversation with Sussan García, Central American Disruption
Please join the UVA student organization Central American for Empowerment (CAFE) on Thursday, Oct. 14, from 6:30-8 pm for a conversation with Sussan Garcia, founder of Central American Disruption [1]. We’ll be discussing the importance of political education and advocacy for diasporic communities and how to practice solidarity both at home and abroad. This will be a hybrid event, attendees are welcome to zoom in by signing up with this link [2]. There will also be an in-person screening at the Latinx Student Center on the 3rd floor of Newcomb Hall. We would love to see you there so that we can all learn/unlearn together. Please contact Josué Castillo (ajc8he) for more information. See you there!
