Research Summary

A native of Madrid (Spain) Esther Poveda’s love for languages, literature and traveling started at a young age, when she decided to complete a B.A. in English Philology at the Universidad Complutense in Madrid. Since then she has lived in Ireland, the United States, Spain and Guatemala, and she has travelled extensively in Europe and the Americas.

Marina Escámez Ballesta

 

 

Marina Escámez Ballesta was born in Murcia, Spain. She earned her M.A in World Languages with a specialization in TESOL and Spanish from West Virginia University in 2014, when she began teaching for UVA. At the department, she serves as the course coordinator of SPAN 2020. In July 2021 she joined the Center of Teaching Excelence as a Faculty Fellow
