Please join the UVA student organization Central American for Empowerment (CAFE) on Thursday, Oct. 14, from 6:30-8 pm for a conversation with Sussan Garcia, founder of Central American Disruption. We’ll be discussing the importance of political education and advocacy for diasporic communities and how to practice solidarity both at home and abroad. This will be a hybrid event, attendees are welcome to zoom in by signing up with this link. There will also be an in-person screening at the Latinx Student Center on the 3rd floor of Newcomb Hall. We would love to see you there so that we can all learn/unlearn together. Please contact Josué Castillo (ajc8he) for more information. See you there!
