The Italian Program at UVa cordially invites you to our first event of the semester. Please join us on Tuesday, September 20 at 2 pm (local time) for a roundtable on feminist pedagogy, Italian language and gender with Dr Luca Malici (Durham, UK), Dr Anna Lisa Somma (PhD Birmingham, UK) and Dott.ssa Valentina Elmetti (Istanbul, TR).
Generously sponsored by an AHSS teaching support grant “Pedagogia femminista, lingua e genere: spunti per (per)corsi inclusivi” will take place on zoom.

Please join the Department of Anthropology in hosting Dr. Pio Saqui (Maya Mopan) of the University of Belize on Friday, June 10, 2022, in the Brooks Hall 2nd Floor Conference Room from 1:00 PM-3:00 PM. Professor Saqui is one of the first members of the Maya Mopan community to earn a PhD and he is a leading scholar in Indigenous ecologies, language revitalization, and cultural heritage.
