Please join us on Tuesday, November 6th, at 7:00 PM in McLead 1020 for a flamenco concert with Juan Pinilla Martin, a flamenco singer from Granada (Spain), critic, writer, and columnist, with a background in translation, interpretation, and law whose art intersects meaningfully with his social activism. In August, 2007 he won the Festival de Cante de las Minas, considered the most important flamenco prize. In 2014, he was nominated for a Latin Grammy Awards.
Juan Pinilla Martin is one of the poet-artists invited as part of SPAN 7559, Spanish Poetry, taught by professor Fernando Valverde.
