Congratulations, graduating class of 2018!

New this year: To provide a safe environment for degree candidates, faculty, family and guests, the University has implemented a clear bag policy and is utilizing metal detectors for Valedictory Exercises on Friday, May 18 and Final Exercises on Saturday, May 19 and Sunday, May 20. These security enhancements mirror those used for athletic events at Scott Stadium and John Paul Jones Arena.
In anticipation of Final Exercises, several activities are planned for Friday, May 18. These include Joint Exercises for Members of the Armed Services, Valedictory Exercises, the Donning of the Kente Ceremony, and a Fourth-Year Class Party. Please click here for more information.
On Sunday, May 19, at 3:30 pm in Culbreth Theatre (Drama Department), the Department of Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese will hold its graduation ceremony. Please click here for a full list of department and program ceremonies within the College of Arts & Sciences and 11 other Schools and Institutes at UVa (Architecture, Batten, Engineering, Nursing, etc.) For information on the Department ceremony, please contact Octavia Wells by email or phone (434.942.7159).
